Cedar Creek waterfalls is around a 30 minute drive from Airlie Beach (heading back towards Proserpine). Look out for the signage “Conway Beach and Cedar Creek Falls”. Follow this road for about 8-10 minutes then turn off on to Saltwater Creek road which will lead you to Cedar Creek falls road and to the spectacular Cedar Creek waterfall, natural amphitheatre and tropical rainforest .
The Waterhole is an easy walk from the carpark and there are toilets and change rooms. The waterfalls are at their best during wet season however there is an abundance of wild life, flora and walking tracks to enjoy in this tropical rainforest.
We recommend you bring drinking water, sunscreen, insect repellent and enjoy a picnic in this stunning tropical rainforest setting.
Forgotten food? No worries, just at the Saltwater Creek turnoff, you will see the Busy Bees Nursery where they have a little cafe called “The Hive”. Alternatively, continue down the road to Conway Beach where you will find the Conway Beach Caravan Park. The have a 50’s theme inspired cafe- “George’s Diner” where you can get a burger whilst listening to some tunes.
